FAQ
Questions. Answers. Insight.
When should I hire a financial services firm? You are ready to hire a financial services firm when you are ready to focus on the meaningful aspects of your life and reduce, or even eliminate, the time and stress of managing your own assets. Professional financial planning firms also are aware of the latest strategies and tools to build on your personal and financial strengths. You will gain control and confidence while learning how to protect and grow your money by collaborating with experienced professionals.
Many individuals hire a financial planning firm when they retire. In addition, partnering with a financial planning firm can happen at different stages in your life, such as a job change, a marital or lifestyle change, or when you receive a financial windfall, such as an inheritance.
If you find yourself making impulsive investment decisions, or your reactions to the stock market are uncomfortable, you will learn how to internalize a long-term view and strategy, and how to maintain financial discipline.
Why should I switch my financial services to Ellen R. Siegel & Associates?
When you seek or already have an investment advisor, ask yourself:
- Are my goals and dreams being met with new, relevant strategies and tools?
- Am I taken seriously, treated with respect? Do I feel like an important client?
- Is the planning team more concerned about what I value as a client versus how much my assets are worth?
- Do I receive intelligible, regular, and relevant updates on my account? Does the advisor give me a way to evaluate his or her work?
- Is the team accountable and accessible to me? Will they follow up with me when I need to do/change something?
If you answered "yes" to these questions, then we congratulate you on having a successful partnership with your current financial planning team. If you answered "no" or "only sometimes" to these questions, then your needs are not being met.

What makes Ellen R. Siegel & Associates different from other financial services firms?
First, Ellen R. Siegel & Associates is a boutique financial services firm, with the resources offered by a national affiliation. We believe in personal attention and care. Our experience and services parallel those of the larger institutions and we deliver personalized service that our clients appreciate most.
Secondly, our firm prides itself on the knowledge we possess in addition to our number of years in business. While we have over 25 years of experience, we are also proactive. Providing you with current, valuable, and relevant information is critical to your success. Your needs change over time and so do the financial strategies and tools we use to help you. We routinely search for new opportunities to help you achieve your dreams.
Next, we remain proactive in our efforts to meet our clients' needs. You hire us for our expertise and experience, and you rely on us to provide opportunities and options. While you may not always know how to express your needs, our close partnership with you allows us to find different ways to achieve financial success without you even asking! Though the tools of planning apply to most portfolios, the techniques must be individualized, since every single client is unique in some way.
Finally, it is the trust we build with our clients that makes us unique. When working with a firm for the first time, there is sometimes a natural fear, doubt, or uncertainty: can the firm deliver on their promise? From the very beginning, we develop lasting relationships with our clients and continually show our appreciation for their choice to work with us. We communicate with you frequently. What sets us apart from traditional money managers is regular evaluation of your overall financial situation, with reiterative projections of your ideal future, along with active portfolio management. This emphasis on ongoing financial planning is where we really add long-term value to you.
